Police in Lusaka recorded a case of murder in which a 10-year-old girl identified as Universal Kamushi of Utailo Farm was found dead in Lusaka West area. The victim was a grade three pupil at a Mano Primary School in Westwood area. She was discovered dead on March 27, 2023 around 10:00 hours.
Brief facts are that on March 24, 2023, Universal Kamushi reported to School the usual time around 08:00 hours and after knocking off in the afternoon, she never went back home.
At around 18:00 hours, her parents reportedly started searching for the child until today, around 10:00 hours when her family members discovered her decapitated body in a decomposed state two Kilometers away from the school. Her head was later found 200 metres away from the body which had other parts missing.
The incident was reported to Police today around 11:00 hours and officers rushed to the scene where they found the body of the girl with some body parts missing. Immediately Investigations were instituted and several people in the area were interviewed.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspect identified as *Harrison Chisenga aged 25* who was sub-contracted to do some works at Utailo Farm is believed to be behind the savage killing of the girl.
He is currently on the run and members of the public are urged to be on the look-out and alert Police immediately he is spotted anywhere during the day or night time.
