A 44-year-old man from Stage Two compound in Mazabuka has been found dead in his house.
Area Chairperson, Crosswell Hanjalika, identified the deceased as Ackim Banda.
He informed Byta FM News that neighbors discovered Banda’s body on Sunday morning.
Banda, who worked as a wheelbarrow pusher in the Central Business District near Zambeef, lived alone.
Hanjalika has appealed to community members to help identify Banda’s family, as no one has come forward to take responsibility for the funeral.
He explained that no family members or friends have claimed responsibility for the funeral and burial so far.
Police officers only managed to find a National Registration Card in Banda’s house.
Meanwhile, a neighbor, Moses Moonga, mentioned that Banda had complained of a stomach ache on Saturday afternoon.
Police are yet to respond to a query filed by Byta FM News regarding the incident.
