3 YEAR OLD DEFILED, HOSPITALIZED AS OFFENDER GETS DETAINED
L 52 year old Woman of Chikankata in Southern Province has reported to police the defilement of her 3 years 11 months old granddaughter by 19 year old Junior Hachintu.
Southern Province Police Commissioner Auxantio Daka revealed to Byta FM News that the grandmother to the survivor left her granddaughter with one of her neighbors on Tuesday 20th February 2024 as she went to fetch water.
Daka reveals that immediately she left, Hachintu took advantage of her absence, lured the survivor to his house and he later defiled her.
He further discloses that when the grandmother returned from the water pump, the granddaughter narrated how Hachintu took her inside his house laid her on his bed and defiled her.
Daka states that immediately her grandmother checked on her private parts which she revealed where painful she discovered that her granddaughter had bruises and a swollen private part.
Daka reveals that the suspect has been apprehended in connection to the offence and is detained in police cells awaiting court appearance with medical examination showing that the three year eleven months old girl was sexually abused.
The Police Commissioner says the survivor is admitted at Chikankata Mission Hospital where she is receiving treatment and is stable.
