An 8-year-old boy from the Kabobola compound in Mazabuka is nursing injuries after being abused by a 19-year-old man. The incident is believed to have occurred between 19th and 21st August 2024.

The boy’s grandfather reported the incident to Mazabuka Police Station, explaining that the boy was invited to the assailant’s house, where he was abused on three separate occasions.

Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Auxensio Daka, stated that the boy confided in his uncle on 21st August after experiencing pain in his anal area and stomach.

The suspect has been arrested.
