OUT of 170 workers from the Judiciary that sat for an aptitude test by the Zambia Institute of Advanced Legal Education (ZIALE) for an internal job recruitment exercise, only two have passed.
The advertised positions which were to be filled internally by qualified employees of the Judiciary will now be re-advertised for external candidates after 168 of them sunk below the pass mark of 70 percent which only Chakala Banda and Nkumbwa Chinyama managed to beat.
In a memo dated October 17, 2022 and signed by Judiciary Chief Registrar Exnobert Zulu, those who flopped the first aptitude test have been asked not to waste their time re-applying when the external advert comes out as they are ineligible.
This means the Judiciary could not find suitable candidates for the magistracy positions among the internal applicants and is now looking elsewhere to fill the void.
Recently, the Judiciary internally advertised for various positions which needed to be filled in and those who sat for the exam include clerks and reporters. Meanwhile, the two brainers; Chakala Banda and Nkumbwa Chinyama have proceeded to the next level of the selection process.
