INSTANT JUSTICE MOB STONE SUSPECTED WIZARD TO DEATH.

Instant Mob justice has claimed a life of a 63 year old man of Matandiko Village in Nchelenge District on suspicion of practicing witchcraft.
In a statement today, Police Deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale confirmed the alleged murder of the old man who has been identified as Aaron Mwansa.
And Mr. Mwale said police officers who rushed to the scene found the deceased lying in a pool of blood partially burned with deep cuts on his face.
Mr. Mwale said the incident occurred 11 days ago which was on 19th October, 2022 between 10:00 hours and 11:00 hours at Matandiko village in Nchelenge District of Luapula Province.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mwale has revealed that today, October 30, 2022 around 03:00 hours Police apprehended 10 suspects among them Six women in connection with the murder incident.
He said investigations revealed that the deceased was suspected to be responsible for the death of his niece who died on August 28, 2022 after a short illness.
The Police Deputy Spokesperson explained that the suspects are alleged to have intercepted the deceased on his way to the market on October 19, 2022 around 10:00 hours where they brutally beat him and dragged him into his house where they set fire by the door step.
Mr. Mwale said the deceased managed to escape to the Lake near his house but was followed and mercilessly stoned to death.
Mr. Mwale said the body has since been buried after postmortem was conducted while the suspects are in Police Custody.
