Leo Simukoko, one of the most promising stage and screen actors whose portrayal of the rebel Adamson Mushala in the 2019 biopic by Muvi TV earned him critical acclaim, has been accused of trying to force himself on a lab technician who gave him a lift.
Simukoko, 33, of Ranchdale Obama, Lusaka, has been charged with indecent assault on a woman of Rockfield Chalala, Lusaka.
The case is now in court.
Allegations are that after the World Theatre Day commemoration, the accused asked for a lift from the 36-year-old around 21:00 hours.
When the duo drove to Simukoko’s house, the victim asked to use the lavatory to answer the call of nature at the residence, which was only lit outside and the bathroom.
In the unlit living room, the victim saw a mattress with unkempt beddings as she was heading to the lavatory.
After she returned from the toilet, she found the award-winning actor at the centre of the unlit living room.
The accused allegedly walked to the lady and forcefully held her by the neck and kissed her.
