FOLLOWING their recent arrest, Sistah Sistah foundation co-founder Gladys Monde and three others appeared before the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court Monday morning.
But the accused, who were seen with their lawyer, later discovered that their matter was not on the list of cases being heard.
They were later seen leaving the court premises with their lawyer.
On March 7, police announced the arrest of Ms Monde and three others on allegations of giving false information to police officers yesterday appeared in court but trial could not proceed.

Police stated that the arrest was after the foundation obtained a police permit on pretext that they were to march against Gender Based Violence and against the sexual abuse of women.

But the foundation was believed to have deceived the police and instead marched towards embracing of LGBTQ rights.
Deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said police had instituted investigations into the programmes and activities of Sistah Sistah Foundation.
“Police have charged and arrested the Co-Founder of Sistah Sistah Foundation identified as Gladys Mwangala Monde aged 29 of Silverest area in Lusaka with the offence of Giving False Information to Public officers and Unlawful Assembly.
Police have also charged and arrested three others identified as Ann Kazhila Hollard aged 28 of Civic Center area who is the Programme Director, Chilombu Kabambi aged 22 an Administrative under the same foundation and Luse Mwila Chanda aged 25 with the offence of Unlawful Assembly,” he said.
