Go Back to The Land Zambia, a Non Governmental Organisation that advocates for rural development, has welcomed the K280 maize floor price for the 2022/23 farming season.
Organization Executive Director,Mr Cyprian Phiri noted that the decision to increase the floor price from K180 to K280 by the New Dawn, is a historical and unprecedented gesture which must be appreciated and supported by all well-meaning Zambians.
Mr Phiri further says this development demonstrates the New Dawn Government’s commitment to change the narrative of a Zambian farmer as promised in the 2021 general elections campaigns.
“As an organization, we urge the youth and women to take this rare historical opportunity to invest in farming through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) grants and loans” he said.
He has also urged Zambians to support Government who have shown passion for rural development by increasing CDF allocation from 1.6 to 28.3 Million Kwacha, within a few months after forming government.
