AN Elderly woman of Chilenje Main Seventh Day Adventist Church has died after suddenly collapsing during the church’s camp meeting in Nswana.
Linda Mantebe, served the church as a dedicated Dorcas mother and a member of the church’s main choir.
After her sudden collapse on Thursday, Mantebe was rushed by church members to Chongwe General Hospital in Lusaka where she died the same day.
Churchmates have described her as a “beloved sister and mother of the chuch, who was dedicated to the works of God”.
“We mourn her loss, but we are only comforted that she died while on church mission, and she has gone with the message of the camp meeting,” said a church member.
Today, Mantebe would have been concluding the 7 days camp meeting with the rest of Chilenje SDA church.
