20 years ago (2003) today Zambia’s 1st Big Brother contestant Cherise Makubale won the show.
Cherise was the proud winner of the very first season of BBA, when she beat 11 housemates to take home the prize money of $100,000 on September 7, 2003 after 106 days in the house.
Others had a go at it but did not emerge victorious as they were kicked out of the house at various stages for various reasons best known by voters.
Second attempt at the prize money was Maxwell Chongo in 2007 who failed and converted into a full-time politician now directing his energies towards governance in Kafue .
In 2008 Takondwa Nkonjera, simply known as Takondwa represented Zambia during the third season of the show where he became the sixth housemate to be evicted on Day 63 after receiving 11/13 votes to evict.
Little is known about him thus far probably because the BBA fire burnt out as soon as he was evicted .
Paloma Manda, simply known as Paloma represented Zambia during the fourth season of the show where she became the eighth housemate to be evicted on Day 28 after receiving 2/15 votes to evict.
She later on returned during the fifth season of the show where she was sent to the barn on Day 56, but failed to return to the main house and became the fourth housemate to be evicted on Day 77 after receiving 2/15 votes to return.
At the time of the show she was a sales assistant in Kitwe .
Nobody knows her whereabouts.
Mumba Mwakwa represented Zambia in the Big Brother Africa Amplified (2011), she never won anything little is known about her …
