In a tragic incident that occurred in the early hours of today, two pupils have been injured in a road traffic accident in Lusaka’s Kalingalinga compound.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, a motorist, who had pupils in his backseat, overtook another vehicle and lost control, hitting two pupils who were walking on the sidewalk.
The accident left one pupil with serious injuries, while the other sustained bruises.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The severity of their injuries is yet to be determined.
Distressed parents of the pupils who were in the motorist’s vehicle arrived at the scene to collect their children after the incident.
No official statement has been issued by the police yet.
