CHIEF Chikanza Munyama of the Tonga and Ila people of Ithezhi- Tezhi District has welcomed sentiments by United States of America Ambassador to Zambia, suggesting that the Republican President and his Vice, should be declaring their assets henceforth.
Michael Gonzalez, is of the view that doing so will set an example for Civil Servants to emulate when it comes to fighting corruption in the Country.
And Munyama, who notes that some Ministers and Members of Parliament have already declared their assets, says Hakainde Hichilema and Mutale Nalumango should do the same.
The Traditional Leader states that doing so will also save public officers and elected officials from being investigated once they leave such positions.
He says Foreign Ambassadors accredited to Zambia are a source of advice, hence their view of certain issues should be considered.
