THE United Party for National Development-UPND in Choma Central Constituency has questioned the criteria used to recruit teachers in the recent recruitment exercise.
UPND Choma Central Information and Publicity Secretary Navy Moonga told Byta FM News that he has observed with concern that most of the applicants from Choma District have continued to be left out in the recruitment of teachers.
Moonga said he will follow up the matter and find out why the local people are being left out in the recruitment exercise.
He said it is saddening to see people with academic qualifications on the streets while government continues to create jobs.
And Civil Servants and Allied Workers Union of Zambia Southern Province Coordinator Bruce Muleya has urged the newly recruited teachers to be committed to service and not take their jobs for granted.
