RESIDENTS ATTEMPT TO BURN COUNCILOR OVER CDF
MUBULA Ward Councilor in Choma Central Constituency, Navy Moonga, has disclosed an alleged failed plot by some unknown people to burn him from his house around midnight, Wednesday.
Moonga narrates to Byta FM Zambia News that while in his house, he heard whispering voices from the bridge adjacent his front yard, with them planning to burn his house after their children failed to access Constituency Development Fund-CDF loans.
He explains that while the unknown suspects were making phone calls to more of their friends to hurry up so the act can be executed, he quickly notified his neighbors and Choma Central police.
The Civic Leader believes that the suspects escaped the moment they saw Police presence coming to his house, which interrupted them from executing the plan.
He is saddened by the attempt, stating that he is not the one in-charge of allocating CDF bursaries, saying the failed attempt on his life is evil.
