Health Minister SYLVIA MASEBO says Government will continue to employ volunteer health workers.
Ms. MASEBO has assured the volunteers who were NOT employed during the recent Presidential directive that the recruitment process will be done in a phased approach.
She has also assured Parliament in a Ministerial statement that her Ministry will work closely with relevant stakeholders to expedite the employment process.
She said transparency and fairness in the selection criteria will be a priority.
Meanwhile, Ms. MASEBO said the recruitment of the 314 volunteer health workers was done after thorough screening.
She said the recruitment was conducted in a transparent manner.
