THE Commander of the Eswatini Defence Force has hailed the concept behind the Zambia National Service (ZNS) anchored on a military establishment that actively contributes to Zambia’s economic development.
General Moses Mashilikisana Hulumende Fakudze recognised the achievements of the ZNS in the training of citizens, contribution to national food security and general economic development initiatives which he said were worth emulating.
Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on ZNS Commander Lieutenant General Maliti Solochi at ZNS Headquarters yesterday, Gen Fakudze said Eswatini would benefit from an impactful concept of a national service especially in tackling the problem of street children which his country was currently grappling with.
And Lt Gen Solochi thanked Gen Fakudze for the visit, adding that it would enhance the bilateral relations between the two military institutions.
He said ZNS was a unique institution that was not just military in nature but also a development force in peace time.
