Seventh-Day Adventist Church pledges support to Government’s developmental agenda!
Community Development and Social Services Minister Doreen Mwamba has commended the Church for its role in uplifting the lives of people in the country.
Ms. Mwamba recognised that the Church has over the years been a key partner of Government in development.
Speaking when she officiated at the Ministerial and Leadership Convention for the Southern Zambia Union Conference of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Lusaka, the Minister said Government appreciates the services rendered to Zambians by the Church.
She noted that the Seventh-Day Adventist Church has specifically been instrumental in the medical and education sectors.
“Government is aware of the long-standing medical services being delivered by the Church through institutions such as Mwami Adventist Hospital in Eastern Province and Yuka Hospital in the Western Province among others.
“Education policies of the Church have also yielded beneficial results to the residets of our country,” Ms. Mwamba said.
Meanwhile, Southern Zambia Union Conference president Dr. Vanny Munyumbwe assured that the Seventh-Day Adventist Church would do its best to mobilise resources to help Government in mitigating the effects of the drought experienced in the country.
