FORMER Zambia Air Force Commander Ronnie Shikapwasha’s wife, Jane Lusengo, is this month expected to appear in the Lusaka High Court for plea and possible trial for allegedly shooting dead her husband.
Lusengo, 73, is charged with murder, a capital offence attracting up to life in jail.
She is accused of having shot her spouse on January 15, 2024 using a double barrel shotgun at the couple’s Ibex Hill house.
After the alleged shooting, the 76-year-old former Cabinet minister was rushed to Maina Soko Military Hospital, where he died.
Ms Lusengo was later arrested and charged with murder.
In March, the sombre-looking widow appeared in the Lusaka Magistrate’s Court wearing a black outfit and a blue pullover with a black chitambala (head wrap).
