An 18-year-old girl has appeared in Ndola High Court for allegedly aiding three men to rape her 16-year-old friend, whom she lured to a house in Mushili Township, where the incident happened.
In this case, Mukuka Mwaba, 25, a general worker, Lentong Mambalakata, 23, a taxi driver, Joseph Mwaba, 25, a student, are charged with rape, while the 18–year old pupil is charged with conspiracy to rape.
On April 20, 2023 between 13:00 hours and 19:00 hours, Mwaba, Mambalakata and Mwaba had unlawful carnal knowledge of a 16-year-old girl after her friend, the child offender, allegedly enticed her into a house where the offence allegedly took place.
When the case came up before Judge Daniel Musonda for plea, the three men, together with the juvenile, denied committing the offence.
“I deny having committed the offence,” all the accused persons, including the 18–year-old, stated in their separate pleas.
Judge Musonda adjourned the case to today as date for commencement of trial.
