Four Zambians have been nominated in the 6th edition of the Regional Annual sports RASA Awards.
Zambians nominated include Karate coach Nayombe Muliyunda in coach of the year category, Virginia Chilongo in sports journalist of the year, Netball player Beauty Nakazwe in sports woman of the year and young Draughts grandmaster William Chinzewe in junior sports man of the year category.
For the young Chinzewe this is the second time in a row he is being nominated in the junior male sports man of the year category.
The RASA awards are annual awards aimed at recognizing achievements and contributions of men, women, coaches, administrators and journalists in a particular year in the southern region.
The awards will be held on May 25 2024 at the Mulungushi International conference center in Lusaka.
