Zambian Environmental Rights Activist, Prudence Bwalya, has stressed the importance of ongoing advocacy efforts in fighting Climate Change.
She highlights that there are still individuals unaware of Climate Change and its implications.
Ms Bwalya commends the Centre for Environment Justice (CEJ) for empowering civil society organizations (CSOs) to amplify their voices in climate action.
During a National Learning Workshop in Lusaka, organized by CEJ with support from the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF), Bwalya stressed the need to promote smart agricultural practices in Zambia amidst the challenges posed by climate change.
The project’s focus areas include Luangwa, Rufunsa, Chongwe, Lusaka, and Chirundu.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director of the House of Ruth Foundation, Mirriam Chitalu, urged CSOs to collaborate closely with the Government, recognizing its wealth of information and resources.
