(ZANIS) Government has assured StarTimes Group of China that it is eager to see the full completion of the remaining works on the Digital Migration Project.
Information and Media Minister CORNELIUS MWEETWA says the project which was put on hold about three years ago is expected to resume once all formalities are put in place.
Mr MWEETWA was speaking in Beijing, China today, when he held talks with StarTimes Chairperson, XINXING PANG at StarTimes Group Headquarters.
He said Government through the Ministries of Information and Media and Finance has put in motion all necessary steps including provision of resources in the 2025 budget to ensure the completion of the project in the shortest possible time.
And StarTimes Group Chairman XINXING PANG said the company is ready to complete the project in the quickest possible time.
He said StarTimes has taken note and appreciates the government’s efforts to resume and complete the project.
