Nakonde Member of Parliament Lukas Simumba has called for the return of former President Edgar Lungu to lead the Patriotic Front (PF) back into power, expressing confidence that the party will deliver jobs, business opportunities, and improve essential services for Zambians.
Speaking during a meeting with PF officials from ward to district level in Nakonde, Mr Simumba emphasized the importance of voter registration ahead of the 2026 general elections, urging party members to mobilize their communities.
“It’s time for change because people want ECL and the PF to come back into government. We will deliver jobs, business opportunities, quality education, and a healthcare system that meets the needs of our country,” he said.
Nakonde PF District Chairman Manfred Sinkala echoed Mr Simumba’s sentiments, urging party officials to take a hands-on approach in sensitizing the public about voter registration.
Mr Sinkala warned that any party official without a voter’s card should be removed from their position, stressing the importance of ensuring participation in the next year elections.
The meeting, which brought together district, constituency, and ward officials, was focused on preparing the PF for the upcoming elections by rallying support from the grassroots.
