ZAMBIA – CHINESE ASSOCIATION TO CLOSE UHURU CELEBRATIONS IN STYLE

CHINESE owned Golden Peacock Hotel in Lusaka’s Kasangula road will tonight be a hive of activities as the Zambia – Chinese Association is set to close Zambia’s Independence celebrations in style.

The event set for 18 hours in commemoration of Zambia’s 60 independence celebrated on October 24th also marks the 60 years of mutually beneficial relations between Zambia and China.

Zambia – Chinese Association executive president Wu Ming has disclosed that an epic Chinese traditional art show dubbed “9 – pieced Segmented Dragon” will be a marvel to watch.

Ming said various choreographed performances such as dash, leap, flip, dive, roll and lean are part of the menu on tonight’s show.

He said the event is not just a show, but also an indication of how much the Chinese community values arts.

Ming added that the association remains committed to the promotion of the arts industry in Zambia.

He said the 60 years of bilateral relations between Zambia and China signifies how the two countries value one another as partners in development.
