FOLOKO RE-ELECTED AS AFRICAN JUDO UNION VICE PRESIDENT

The African Judo Union (AJU) held its Ordinary General Assembly yesterday in Casablanca, Morocco, where Alfred Foloko was re-elected vice president.

Foloko, who also serves as president of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ), has continued to prove his admirable leadership qualities on the African stage, which has earned him several accolades.
His charismatic leadership style in the development of sport on the African stage is exemplary.

He shares with us his reaction after getting re-elected “I am short of words” he says. “I am grateful for the trust and confidence the African Judo Union team has in me to run for another term of office.

Judo is my way of life and together we are here to ensure that this sport continues to grow so that more of our players can continue representing Africa on that global stage such as the Olympic and Commonwealth Games” he said.

Meanwhile, the re-elected African Judo Union president Siteny Randrianasolo-Niaiko has congratulated Foloko for his outstanding contribution and unwavering dedication to the African Judo Union over their term of office.

He says Foloko’s professionalism and commitment as vice president have been pivotal in the growth and success of judo across bordering continents.

“Thanks to your efforts the union has not only flourished within Africa but has also strengthened its reputation on the global stage, especially before the International Judo Federation” Siteny said.

He has expressed hope that Foloko would continue to play a pivotal role and be part of the term for the next four years adding that his experienced leadership skills were invaluable as they looked forward to further achievements together.

Siteny is also the Madagascar Olympic Committee president and the Madagascar parliamentary head of the operation.
