Munali 2026 parliamentary hopeful Chrispin Chiinda has bemaoned the continued water challenges affecting communities in the constituency.

Residents in all the six wards of Munali have endured several months without water whilst others have faced persistent water interruptions due to continued power crisis of more than 21 hours in some areas.

Households in Kamanga, Mtendere, Chainda, Kalingalinga and other areas have recently complained that the water crisis has gotten out of hand.

Addressing congregants at Word of Life church in Kalingalinga shortly after Sunday service, Chiinda complained that residents in the area had continued facing water challenges more many years.

He said the situation can only be addressed by someone who lives within the community as a leader.

Chiinda has since appealed to residents to ensure that they acquire voters carders and elect for leaders who understood their challenges when the country goes to the polls next year.

And Rev. Pathias Munsaka disclosed that residents had continued receiving water bills despite running on dry taps. The clergyman urged Chiinda to look into the issue once elected into office.

Meanwhile, Chiinda expressed sadness that young lives had continued being lost due to among others, bad lifestyles among the youth.

He however attributed the development to lack of recreation activities as well as lack of employment opportunities, adding that once elected MP for Munali, youth empowerment would be top on his agenda.
