Chasefu Independent Aspiring Candidate, Captain Towani Chipeta, has pledged K5000 per ward across all ten wards of Chasefu in recognition of International Women’s Day on 8 March.
Captain Chipeta affirmed that the initiative is intended to empower women and highlight their indispensable role in community development.
She remarked that women remain among the most vulnerable in society and deserve meaningful support.
Chipeta explained that her gesture is not about displaying wealth but about demonstrating genuine care for the people of Chasefu.
She stressed that true leadership is measured through action rather than promises.
Chipeta noted that every ward will benefit equally, reflecting her vision of fairness and inclusivity.
In recent months, she has also facilitated the drilling of fourteen boreholes and donated 5,000 courses of anti‑malaria drugs to strengthen health and water access in the constituency.
She emphasised that the Women’s Day celebrations will serve as a symbol of unity, empowerment, and her commitment to a stronger Chasefu.
