MEDICAL Doctor, Gift Mukabili has cautioned women on the risks associated with falling pregnant for men with large head sizes.
Explaining the risks, of big head babies during pregnancy, Dr. Mukabili says a baby head size can affect how safely a woman delivers.
The medical expert has warned that, in some cases, a baby’s head size can affect delivery .
Dr. Mukabili has explained that there is a small chance a child may inherit a larger head circumference if the father also has a big head.
While this is not always a problem, it can sometimes lead to a condition known in medical terms as cephalopelvic disproportion—a situation where the baby’s head is bigger than the mother’s birth canal.
According to the doctor, this condition can make normal delivery difficult and may require a caesarean section to safely deliver the baby and protect both the mother and child.
Dr. Mukabili has urged women to understand these risks and to attend regular antenatal check-ups so doctors can monitor the baby’s growth and plan for a safe delivery.
He has also encouraged couples to seek medical advice rather than relying on myths or fear, reminding the public that modern medicine can safely manage most childbirth complications.
