Central Province Permanent Secretary Dr Milner Mwanakampwe says he is deeply saddened by the loss of four people in last Thursday’s Hino lorry accident in Mkushi District.

Freelance Journalist Winter Mubanga of Luano District reports that Luano District Commissioner Kell’s Meleki delivered the message on behalf of Dr Mwanakampwe during the burial of the victims in Masansa, held at Masansa Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mkushi District.

He said losing vibrant and productive people who would have contributed to the country’s development is painful.

Commissioner Meleki stated that President Hakainde Hichilema is mourning with the people of Mkushi District on the untimely death of their loved ones.

One body has been buried at Masansa main graveyard, while the others have been laid to rest in Kampelembe and Chikupili in Luano District.

Mkushi District Commissioner Jonathan Kapungwe has also mourned the death of his daughter-in-law, who was among the four people that perished in the accident.

Kapungwe explained that the deceased, Yvonne Kapungwe, was the wife of his second-born son.

He described her as more than family, a pillar in the household and a helping hand to many in the community, adding that her kindness and willingness to serve others will never be forgotten.
