DPP Withdraws Cyber Harassment Charge Against Mutale Mwanza Following Chichi Daisy’s Request

A cyber-related legal matter involving media personalities Chinyamba Daisy Lusumpa and Mutale Mwanza has been formally withdrawn after the complainant decided not to pursue the case further, citing personal well-being.

The matter, which had been before the courts on allegations of cyber harassment, did not proceed to full trial after Ms. Lusumpa informed the court that she had chosen to discontinue the case. The decision was subsequently effected by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), who withdrew the charge in line with her request.

As proceedings unfolded, an emotional moment was recorded ouside court when Mutale Mwanza expressed remorse and appreciation following the withdrawal.

She was heard saying, “I am so sorry, thank you,” as she shared a moment of reconciliation with Ms. Lusumpa, also known as Chichi Daisy.

The two media personalities were later seen embracing briefly, signaling a closure to the matter that had drawn public attention.

The development marks the end of the legal process, with both parties appearing to move towards reconciliation following the withdrawal of the complaint.
