Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions is pleased to announce that David “Sniper” Mwale, the reigning WBC International Bantamweight Champion, has officially reported to camp as he begins preparations for his upcoming title defense.

Mwale is set to defend his championship against South African challenger Charlton Malajika on 25 July 2026 at the Government Complex in Lusaka.

This championship bout is a joint promotion between Oriental Quarries Boxing Promotions and Golden Gloves Promotions of South Africa, reflecting a strong cross-border partnership in delivering a world-class boxing event.

Mwale’s promoter Chris Malunga says Oriental is fully committed to ensuring that the boxer is in peak condition ahead of this important bout.

“Defending this title is a top priority, as it represents not only national pride but also a significant stepping stone toward a World Boxing Council title opportunity,” Malunga stated.

Malunga noted that holding a WBC title is a dream for boxers around the world.

“Among African fighters, it remains one of the most prestigious platforms to showcase talent and open doors to global recognition,” he added.
