LUSAKA – Zambian-born musician OC, who is based in the United States, has announced that he has officially joined the Recording Academy’s 2026 New Member Class as a Grammy Voting Member.
The announcement marks a significant achievement for the artist and for Zambia’s music industry, as he becomes one of the Zambian creatives helping shape decisions behind the prestigious Grammy Awards.
OC Announces Grammy Membership
Sharing the news on his social media platforms, OC expressed gratitude for being welcomed into the Recording Academy, describing it as both an honour and a major milestone in his music career.
“It is with immense pleasure and my utmost gratitude that I officially announce I have finally joined the Recording Academy’s 2026 New Member Class as a Voting Member!” he wrote.
The Recording Academy is the organisation responsible for the annual Grammy Awards, one of the world’s most respected honours in the music industry.
A Voice in the Grammy Awards Process
As a Voting Member, OC will now participate in the Grammy Awards voting process alongside thousands of music creators, producers, engineers, songwriters and industry professionals from around the world.
