OYDC Zambia Teqball team has maintained the winning spirit of games during the Teulings Youth Sports Challenge. The team outclassed other teams during Saturday’s league games and emerged with eight points in the doubles while the closest rival Olympafrica got four points. The other team LikUs got zero.
OYDC TeQball team coach Bernard Mulenga says it takes dedication and passion to maintain the winning spirit. He says since the sport is new he will ensure that the boys and girls train and prepare well for the games.
The league entered week two from the time the sporting season was launched at the OYDC Zambia – Sports Development Centre.
Meanwhile, OYDC hosted basketball, Boxing and football the sports disciplines which were recently added to the Teulings/OYDC Youth Sports Challenge. Young athletes below the age of seventeen turned up to compete in the developmental league games.
And before commencement of games athletes attended educational sessions conducted by officers from Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) who educated them about dangers of doping and taking harmful substances which can affect their sporting career.
The Teulings\OYDC Youth Sports Challenge is usually hosted every weekend at the multsports facility and has been running since 2011 and is supported by Coen Teulings Chairman of the Merifin Capital in Belgium.
