Victoria Linosi is a talented sportswoman based in Lusaka.
The 25-year-old journalist who graduated from Evelyn Hone College as the Best Student in Journalism and Public Relations last year has been involved in sporting activities since she was six. She is the third born in a family of five.
Growing up in the country’s capital city with her family, Victoria found inspiration in her father, Francis Linosi, who is also a sportsperson. He was a judoka and a judo coach. She feels he is one person who has greatly helped her in the sports journey, from the time he discovered she was in love with sports.
She plays Football, Kofukan Karate, Volleyball as well as Handball but her favourite is Football.
Now working as a sports reporter at Diamond Television, a private television station in Zambia, Victoria strives to use her profession to inspire the would be sports men and women.
While in school at Evelyn Hone College in 2017, she won the “Best Radio Sports Report” MISA award. She later won the Best Teulings Report in November last year under the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC).
Victoria believes they are the people that can change the perception of women’s game in society. Victoria also believes that with hard work, consistency and perseverance, anything can be achieved.
She has taken up Karate and is bragging on the Facebook streets at how she can do it in heels too.
