Let’s Stop Blaming Others When One Commits Suicide.

By Georgia Mutalemukunsa Musonda

I have come across at least 5 suicide posts from friends here on different occasions.

When i came across these posts,i tried to reach out but only one ever opened up. I’m glad to see him alive and well ??
After reaching out, some would say it’s just a post and others would say they have everything under control.
So how do you expect people to help when you’ve not opened up?

Yes I understand that people have deep problems, problems that are too hard to bare and suicide will appear as the only solution but it solves nothing. Most of us here have gone and are going through hell but somehow we are staying alive for some reasons. How many people know what you are going through?

Pretence and self pity are very strong poisons that will kill you slowly. The more you pretend to be fine around others, the more no one will pay attention to your inner sorrows.
“Fear of being laughed at.” You don’t necessarily have to open up to people you know, it can be anyone you don’t even know. Even a stranger on the streets can help. Medical centers have psychosocial counselors that you can talk to anytime.

Let’s be honest here,Suicidal people are usually arrogant and difficult to handle. I believe at least one or two people will slide in their DM to find out what’s going on,others will even call.
We have close friends, relatives and curious people all over facebook,so i don’t buy it that one was completely abandoned.

Why do we always blame the people around the deceased after one commits suicide? Nowadays,it is very difficult to tell when one is going through a lot because everyone is playing happy here.

Healing starts with oneself and so we should stop putting the blame on others when one commits suicide.
