KAFUE FOOTBALLER COLLAPSES AND DIES SUDDENLY DURING A FOOTBALL MATCH

A social football match between Kafue Bus and Taxi Drivers football team and their counterparts from Chikankata, yesterday ended prematurely after the sudden death of Aaron Zulu, aged 30 years of Mtendere in Kafue, who died during a football match in Turn Pike.
Kafue Police Officer In-Charge Jason Lungu confirmed the death of Zulu to Kafue Times but however could not give further details of the matter.
A Kafue Times News Crew that rushed to Nanduba area where the match was played found on lookers shocked by Aaron’s death.
Eye withesses told KT that Aaron collapsed and suddenly died at the peak of the game forcing the referee to end the game prematurely.
One of the eye witnesses, James Mwale said football first aiders tried to help Aaron just after he collapsed but realized that the problem was beyond their capacity to help which made them report the matter to Turn Pike Police.
Aaron was quickly rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead up arrival.
The body of Aaron has since been deposited in the Kafue General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police have instituted investigations to ascertain the actual cause of this sudden death.
