I had always believed in hard work and determination. For years, I dreamed of serving the people of Katete in Eastern Province as their elected leader. I gave it my all—sold every piece of property I owned just to finance my campaigns. I believed my vision and my manifesto was right, and I thought the people would see it too. But reality hit me hard. I failed—twice.
Losing once is painful, but losing a second time after putting everything on the line nearly broke me. I had nothing left—no property, no income, and worst of all, no hope. Friends sympathized, but sympathy doesn’t rebuild a life. I was close to giving up completely.
