Brutal murder of Chinese couple, Liu, and husband Li, leaves Home of Alina workers, jobless
HOME OF ALINA workers at Kamwala’s Trading Centre in Lusaka have been rendered jobless following the stabbing to death of shop owners, the Chinese couple identified as Liu Jiaxi 55, and Li Quingming aged 57.
The couple who Police says are believed to have been murdered on December 3 allegedly by suspects now in their custody, had just arrived home from their shop when an intruder broke in and stabbed them several times, killing them instantly.
Mwaba, one of the workers at the now closed shop says the incident has affected her and her colleagues.
She says the couple despite being her ex-bosses, had become family.
“We are directly affected with this incident. Home of Alina is a company but the other bosses are in China,” Mwaba says.
She has called for justice.
“The culprits should be punished and justice should prevail. Am really really saddened. And this has affected all of us,” she remarks.
Mwaba says due to investigations, Police asked that the shops be closed instantly rendering all workers jobless.
“Our shops have been closed the Police said that they will call us. This incident has left some of us jobless. Many of us we don’t know what to do,” the affected worker said.
