Right Reverend KASONDE, who is also SOLWEZI Diocese Bishop, says the Bill of the similar nature dubbed Freedom of information, crafted during the MMD administration never saw the light of day in the National Assembly.
Right Reverend KASONDE said this in LUSAKA today when he read the Pastoral letter.
And Right Reverend KASONDE further praised the UPND administration for eliminating cadreism in public places and minimising political violence.
The Bishops have also discussed issues on governance, democratic space, economic situation and the review of the mining tax regime.
MEANWHILE, Government says it is studying the pastoral letter issued by the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Chief Government Spokesperson, CORNELIUS MWEETWA says Government will issue a comprehensive response at the earliest time after analysing the document.
