Greetings to the Copperbelt University student populace and the entire CBU community. Following various concerns I have received from students regarding my Academic status. I would like to confirm that yes I have been expelled from the university for cancelling classes (as COBUSU President then) on the 26th June around 08:00hrs with a view of bringing students together to condemn the looting as well as mourn our two brothers who prematurely died in a road accident.
As one who reached in final year, my family and friends are definitely not happy with this development because they invested so much in my academics in order to reach in final year today.
Being on a HELSB sponsorship, I believe it’s a loss to government too. However, as a leader I haven’t lost because sacrifice or being sacrificed is part of leadership.
Thank you all for your support and all the best in your final exams tomorrow.
