Chinese man keeps girlfriend guessing about marriage

A WOMAN aged 22 is facing an uncertain future after a Chinese national who impregnated her and promised to marry her U-turned on his word.

Matildah Mwitwa, of Lusaka West, was promised marriage by Cai Rengsheng, 35, if she bore a child for him.

But Mr Cai said he would have to consult his family before he could decide to marry Ms Mwitwa.

Ms Mwitwa said Mr Cai made her quit her job at a tissue making company, where he was her superior in Lusaka West in 2020 when the two started the relationship.

Ms Mwitwa said Mr Cai promised to support and provide her with everything she needed .
