Independent aspiring Member of Parliament for Chasefu, Captain Towani Chipeta, has encouraged residents to take part in the ongoing voter register inspection exercise, which runs from 2nd to 8th March 2026.
Chipeta emphasised that the exercise is essential for verifying voter details to prevent challenges on polling day.
She added that the process allows residents to transfer polling stations where needed.
She also noted that it provides an opportunity to replace lost or damaged voter’s cards.
Chipeta stressed that strong participation will strengthen transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
She highlighted that the inspection empowers citizens to safeguard their democratic rights.
Speaking after inspecting her own details, Chipeta said the process is a vital step in building confidence and fairness in the electoral system.
