Chipolopolo boys Coach AVRAM GRANT says the result between Chad and Sierra Leone will not change the team’s plan of going for an outright win in tomorrow’s AfCON qualifier against Ivory Coast.
GRANT says he expects a tough game against the AfCON champions despite them already qualifying for the tournament.
Speaking during the pre match press conference in Ndola today, the Chipolopolo will look to achieving their objective of qualifying to the next AfCON.
GRANT said with key players out injured, he has players that can fill the gap and still deliver the needed result tomorrow.
And Chipolopolo boys’ striker EMMANUEL BANDA said a lot is at stake and the players know that they need to win the game set for Levy Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.
Meanwhile, Ivory Coast coach EMERSE FAE said despite already qualifying for the AFCON, the team is here to collect maximum points because they want to maintain FIFA rankings.
And Ivory Coast player BENIE TRAORE said the team wants to finish top of the table and already qualifying for the AFCON before playing Zambia will not change that fact.
