The Church of Christ in Choma has commended 2026 parliamentary hopeful Joe Muchindu for his continued efforts in attending to people’s needs.

And Muchindu has encouraged young people to be determined in their lives.

Officiating at the Church youth of Christ youth conference in Simpweze, Choma District, Muchindu encouraged the youth to always adopt positive attitudes.

He told the gathering that young people have potential to do anything worthwhile in their lives, adding that there is need to enculcate positiveness in their minds.

Muchindu also appealed to the church not to shy away, but bring forward community concerns.

He stressed the need to adopt home – grown solutions to issues affecting Choma as a whole.

Meanwhile, and as a sign of love, Muchindu provided a cow to the gathering for the meals, much to the happiness of the over 500 young people that are gathering.

Speaking on behalf of the youth, Ezron Muunga thanked Muchindu for his gesture.

“We are thankful for your continued support to the youth and we can assure that you have our support. We wish you well and pray for you to get there so that we can continue benefitting too,” a jovial Muunga said, amidst applauds from the audience.

The church leadership echoed Muunga’s words too.
