STATE House Chief Communication Specialist Clayson Hamasaka has suffered injuries after the vehicle he was travelling in was involved in an accident in Kalomo.
Southern Province police commanding officer Aunxesio Daka said nine other people, including Mr Hamasaka’s driver Given Tembo, 27, sustained injuries in the same accident.
Mr Daka said Mr Hamasaka, 53, suffered chest pains and general body pains while Mr Tembo bruised his forehead and sustained general body pains in the accident that happened on Wednesday afternoon.
He explained that Mr Tembo’s vehicle, a Mazda B50 registration number GRZ 776 CP, hit into a Mitsubishi Canter registration number AJF 851 ZM, which was turning and was being driven by Prospine Sibulaya, 30.
Others who suffered injuries in the accident are Honest Siabatwa, 53, Costinah Maadale, 40, Emeldah Munyaka, 35, Judith Kahale, 12, all of Kazungula, and Last Chilombe of unknown address. The rest are Sylvia Kafula, 67, and Chanda Chilufya, 45, both of Kitwe.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Safety Agency has cautioned road users to observe safety rules and regulations during the Easter weekend.
