Congolese Army Happy with Zambia Army’s engagement of women in Combat roles

Previously, Zambia Army only engaged women in support roles but things have evolved over the years, as plenty of women are now appointed in key decision making position and combat roles.
This has not gone unnoticed, it is now attracting the attention of many armies from various countries, who want to tap into this development.
One such is the Congolese Army that is amused with Zambia’s bold step to involve women in combat roles such as infantry, military police, Armour, Artillery among other corps.
At the ongoing Africa Land Forces Summit 2024 in Livingstone, a delegation from the Congolese Army had an interaction with Commander Zambia Army, Lieutenant General Sitali Dennis Alibuzwi on how eager they want to include women in combat roles in their Army.
Zambia Army Command has remained resolute to elevating and appointing women officers and soldiers in key decision making positions, including combat roles.
