A KASAMA-BASED paramilitary police officer attached to the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has been apprehended alongside five Ethiopians he allegedly aided to illegally enter the country.

The Department of Immigration apprehended the Ethiopians in the early hours of Thursday last week in Chisamba.

The department received information that suspected illegal immigrants were en route to Lusaka from Nakonde aboard a Toyota Mark X driven by Jacob Phiri, 36, who was clad in police combat uniform.
