“D’BANJ WANTED TO SIGN ME, NINAMU UZA GIGO”-MACKY 2
After competing in the Big Brother Africa Hotshot season, Macky 2 got a record deal offer from DBanj’s DB Records, which he respectfully turned down.
Late 2015, King Buga cited reasons for declining the deal on Zambian Music Blog’s “The Hype” hosted by Phil Dill. Macky 2 said, “They gave their offer and I felt like if I just work hard I would do the things they said they could do for me.”
One of the clauses in the contract according to him (Macky 2) stated the he was to relocate to Nigeria and release his first official single under the label on Valentine’s Day in 2016. This made King Buga to feel some type of way as it was more of starting from scratch and he felt he had come a long way to go and start over.
