The Drug Enforcement Commission -DEC- has dispelled claims that its officers alongside Anti Corruption Commission officials surrounded the house of former President EDGAR LUNGU.
DEC Public Relations Officer, ALLAN TAMBA however says DEC officers visited Mrs. TASILA LUNGU MWANSA’s residence behind the Economic Zone –MFEZ- in Chifwema area.
Mr. TAMBA says the purpose of the visit was to serve a call out and a warranty to Mrs. MWANSA who is said not to be at the residence.
He however says upon arrival, Officers found a security guard who said he was NOT the one in charge of the property and called another security guard who came out with a shot gun.
Mr. TAMBA says the second security guard who got instructions from an unknown person later refused to receive the call out.
He says the officers were then forced to enclose the call out in an envelope and slide it under the gate and drove off.
Speaking during a press briefing, Mr TAMBA said Mrs. MWANSA is currently wanted for questioning by the commission.
